Pursing Peace and Good Will Towards All
Kato Mivule | December 20 2011
As we come to the close of this year, it would be worthwhile to take a look back and reflect at both the bad and good events that happened this year; of course with the attitude of being thankful and grateful to The Lord for His Providence.

Acts 17 on Discernment and Apologetics for Christians Today
Kato Mivule | November 17 2011
One of the most instructive chapters, in my opinion, on christian discernment and apologetics is Acts 17. The chapter provides a Christian discernment and apologetics framework for both inside and outside the Church.

On Christians, Poverty, Occupy Wall Street, and Liberation Theology
Kato Mivule | November 1, 2011
Recently, a number of protests dubbed “Occupy Wall Street”, have taken place in the USA , centered around issues of increasing poverty, lack of jobs, increasing disparity between the poor and rich, the unfair tax burden that seems to let the rich walk away without paying their dues in taxes, and excessive greed and capitalism among big financial institutions in the USA.

Are "Spiritual Fathers" Supported by The New Testament?
Kato Mivule | September 27, 2011
One of the popular teachings today in Evangelical circles is that of “Spiritual Fathers”, individuals who are supposed to act as mentors, guides, and accountability partners between a Christian and Jesus Christ. Often success, prosperity, fame, blessings, and attaining “the anointing” are tied to this mentor, a.k.a. Spiritual Father, without whom, the believer cannot attain the full blessings of God.

Are Christians Bound By Generational Curses? No!
Kato Mivule | September 20, 2011
An article appeared in the Ugandan Weekly, Sunday Vision September 17, 2011 that questioned if Christians are cursed. There is a popular teaching among Evangelical Christians in Uganda that Christians remain cursed until those curses are “broken” by some anointed Man or Woman of God. Usually, those who are deemed cursed are the poor, weak, destitute, unemployed, sick, and those facing various challenges of life.

USA Politics, Rick Perry and the New Apostolic Reformation
Andrew Strom | Re-posted September 6, 2011 I had a couple from the USA write to me today with a rather hair-raising question on US politics. But before we get to their email, let me make a couple of points. As many of you know, I am a strongly conservative evangelical Christian. And yet, I have questioned for a long time whether conservative Christians (particularly in the USA) are trying to solve "SPIRITUAL" problems with Politics - which will never work.

Is the New Testament Biased Against The Rich?
Kato Mivule | August 30, 2011
So, is the New Testament against rich people per say? I do not think so. On the contrary, the New Testament clearly warns against trusting in wealth and riches and calls for those who are blessed with riches and wealth, in humility to do justice to the poor and provide and care for those who are less fortunate, rather than gloat and boast in arrogance.

What Jesus Christ Said About Peacemakers and the Divisive Sword
Kato Mivule | August 9, 2011
What did Jesus Christ teach about peace, what did He actually mean when He taught about being a peacemaker? Is there a contradiction between Matthew 5:9 and Matthew 10:34-35? Did Jesus Christ advocate Christian militant-ism and violence as some claim?

Denouncing The Norway “Christian” Terrorist, Hate, and Violence
Kato Mivule | August 2nd 2011
For the past two weeks the mass media has been awash with references to the Norway killer, Anders Breivik, who murdered more than 70 people as a “Christian Terrorist”. Many Evangelicals, especially in the USA have been greatly disturbed by such references. Other media circles spoke of Anders Breivik as a “Christian fundamentalist”, a phrase that has received considerable opposition from Christian Evangelicals in America.

On The “Christian” Terrorist in Norway and The Crusades
Given the recent developments in Norway, some Evangelicals have been disturbed by the mass media attention to the killer's "religion", being Christianity. The term "Christian Fundamentalist" with anti-Muslim views has been used to describe the killer in Norway. While the mass media might exaggerate, the history of Christianity is not without blemishes when it comes to religious violence.

Why Hell Is Integral To The Gospel
By Greg Gilbert | Re-posted July 19, 2011 http://www.9marks.org/ejournal/why-hell-integral-gospel
For some, the horror of the Christian doctrine of hell—that it is a place of eternal, conscious torment where God's enemies are punished—has led them not just to avert their eyes and minds, but to deny it entirely. "Surely," they say, "hell is a fictional construct used to oppress people with fear; a God of love would never allow such a place to really exist." There's an emotional power to this argument, to be sure. No one, certainly no Christian, likes the idea of hell.

What Did Jesus Christ Teach About Hell?
Kato Mivule | June 28, 2011
The subject of Hell is a very difficult one to discuss, even among professing Christians. Controversies over Hell made media headlines of recent with the publication of a book by a mega Church Pastor Rob Bell, “Love Wins: A Book About Heaven, Hell, and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived”.

Commentary on Philippians; Workout Your Salvation in Fear and Trembling
Kato Mivule | June 21, 2011
Philippians 2:12-16 Was Paul the apostle contradicting himself when he proposed to the Philippians that they workout their own salvation with fear and trembling? Paul was not about self contradictions but rather calling on Christians to take responsibility for their walk in Christ.

Discernment: Give Earnest Heed To The Teachings of Jesus Christ
Kato Mivule | June 14, 2011
The book of Hebrews is one of those New Testament books that calls for the Christian to take responsibility insofar as their faith in Jesus Christ is concerned, a problem that some Theologians from the Calvinist and Predestination camps find hard to grasp. It is one of those books that proponents of the 'Once Saved Always Saved' doctrines always try to explain away.

Harold Camping, Christian Sycophancy, and The Antidote of a Sound Mind
Kato Mivule | June 1st, 2010
May 21st came and passed by with no Rapture Event taking place as was publicized by Harold Camping. Christians and Christianity again became a mockery and a joke on late night comedy. Furthermore, Bible Prophecy was reduced to ridicule and derision.
