As the early church had fellowships in underground tombs Imperial Rome, Biblical Christianity in the world is being pushed down the same road by two enemies--an Apostate Church and Agnostic world.
This is however healing truth as the many that are coming to the truth are returning in sincerity and genuinely back to the true faith in Jesus Christ. There are conditions from the two enemy camps that are pushing the church down that road.

THE APOSTATE CHURCH LEADERSHIP CRISIS
Because of the absence of sound doctrine in the global westernized church, there is no true and sound leadership in the Westernized church. The shepherds have fallen asleep and many of them do not have the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth, to know about things to come and feed the flock with right meat.
However there are subordinates or some who are not on top leadership but are part of the hierarchy that are seeing things differently and are not pleased with the current state of affairs.
In a dramatic twist of events churches in Kenya ‘accepted’ the inclusion of the Moslem Kadhi courts in the upcoming constitution. This has however shocked a sizable number of ‘patriotic’ Evangelical Christians.
It is ironical that church leaders, who have accepted this inclusion which they first detested, lead people who have been thoroughly indoctrinated to reject the inclusion. A visit to these churches will amaze one, as the intercessor leaders have been praying against this outcome made by their leaders!!
The crux of the matter is, there is a split in the church that is creating a leadership vacuum; a leadership that will increasingly implement things against the will of the flock and to their surprise.
The false leadership loves and serves money, the elite and the world. They do not care about the spiritual health of the sheep, but the physical wealth of the sheep .Thus they will approve anything and any law that will maintain or increase their physical gain even if it endangers the spiritual health of the sheep.
Thus this split will awake some and make others return to truth as others run to apostasy.
FALSE DOCTRINES, TEACHERS AND PROPHETS
This is clearly being exposed in the open though in the midst of many blind people. A lot of lies have infiltrated churches that has led to decay and rot in church. Truth is cast down and called divisive. Man is calling truth, non absolute thus people have various definitions for things already defined in the word of God.
This is breeding tolerance and hypocrisy which is against one way, one truth and one Spirit. Thus those who hold on the truth are either rejected or cast out to fellowship underground.
SCANDALS IN CHRISTENDOM
The crimes and scandals that are spilling all over are ammunition for secularists who are busy making money ridiculing and blaspheming God.
Christianity is accused of hypocrisy in light of the sins and crimes that have rocked many ‘powerful’ ministries and churches. This is used to justify agnosticism as the agnostic sees that if those who claim to be preaching truth are not practicing it then it is not truth.
Moreover Christianity has been pitted with the politics of this world making people to view churches as friends of the oppressor. Thus a friend of the State is the enemy of the oppressed people. By guilt through association, Christians are attacked for being government cronies or Western puppets which is not true for biblical Christianity and true Christians.
THE AGNOSTIC WORLD
Secularism and Agnosticism
This is one rising wind that is taking the educated of the world by storm. Western education and media are the vehicles of this condition globally. They are based on the wisdom of men and the glory of man to the point of belittling the wisdom of God and the word of God.
Thus many are questioning the bible, calling it contradictory thus arousing doubts in the hearts of Christians who are not grounded in the word of God.
Today’s movements of reasoning , Da Vinci Code and other New age Gurus are having branches in Africa trying to trap many educated gullible people into their activities. Thus it cast down Christianity as divisive and unscientific and illogical for the sake of gaining membership and followers. Biblical Faith is nothing according to them.
However Christianity in America, the West, is not left out and is on the same tread mill. The casual and light Christianity practiced is as faithless as the secularists, as the things of God are taken as games and greasy grace, no reverence and fear for God and his word. This plastic Christianity has been spread like a wildfire and tornado to Africa, Asia and Latin America, where there are developing urban economies.
Thus the hatred that emanates from this wind of secularism is enough to push biblical Christianity underground and it will not enjoy the public praise many in Christendom have longed for.
DRACONIAN LAWS, LEGISLATION OF TOLERANCE
Due to rising tendencies of global fascism, many new laws are coming up that are interfering with the rights of the masses. From hate speech to control of right of assembly the laws are being set up globally in a gradual manner. Yet the so called rights are granted in the American constitution. What many do not know that those principles in the American Constitution were written by rich men and for the gain of rich men, so the one nation under God living in liberty is but a theoretical dream. The laws are tools of the rich who hate opposition and competition for the sake of unrighteous mammon.
In East Africa there is a law known as the Whistle Blower act which is coming up, empowering neighbors who have found their neighbors in the wrong. So if holding a bible fellowship is classified as a wrong (I have not said it has been) then one will end up in jail under the watch of an agnostic world and apostate Christendom
Already Evangelical churches in Kenya have and are going to be victims of laws on Noise pollution. Though it applies also to Muslims and their mosques, the Evangelical churches are being targeted in the area of crusades, overnight prayers and church services. Such laws are enough to take out the public lime light of Evangelical Christianity, giving room for underground Christianity or home fellowships
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
This is area is another big wind of deception in the agnostic world as many are captured by the physical satisfaction it offers through its observational evidence and facts.
With many inventions and discoveries, man is finding more and more excuses for his sins and ways of beating God in his wisdom. Adultery is now proved to be genetic in most men; test tube babies and stem cell research are cutting edge medicine of today. Thus women who are radical in their hate of men do not need a husband to mother a child but a
Scientist.
All this diminishes man’s desire for Gods as man gets glorified because of his knowledge and wisdom hence Christianity is seen as a false belief since science is answering all the questions of men.
These conditions and others make the world set for worship and allegiance to men who have supernatural powers and world control since secularists and agnostics are ninnies in spiritual matters.
Agnosticm is the best ground for deception by signs and wonders because they believe by observation not in the heart. Interesting enough is that apostates also love to base their faith on observation. Thus the two share in this common ground which is the trap for the man of sin and false hood to deceive the world.
THE LORD JESUS FORETOLD THAT IN THE LAST DAYS WE SHALL BE HATED BY THE WORLD BOTH THE APOSTATE CHURCH AND THE AGNOSTIC WORLD...TWO SIDES OF ONE COIN.
However, we are to suffer for his sake and not for our wrongs to inherit all things. It is for true Christians to humble themselves before God and that he may lift us up in these days of uncertainty from the underground to the mansions of glory after enduring to the end.
