Philippians 2:12-16 Was Paul the apostle contradicting himself when he proposed to the Philippians that they workout their own salvation with fear and trembling? Paul was not about self contradictions but rather calling on Christians to take responsibility for their walk in Christ.

The book of Hebrews is one of those New Testament books that calls for the Christian to take responsibility insofar as their faith in Jesus Christ is concerned, a problem that some Theologians from the Calvinist and Predestination camps find hard to grasp. It is one of those books that proponents of the 'Once Saved Always Saved' doctrines always try to explain away.

May 21st came and passed by with no Rapture Event taking place  as was publicized by Harold Camping. Christians and Christianity again became a mockery and a joke on late night comedy. Furthermore, Bible Prophecy was reduced to ridicule and derision.

In a number of the denominations I've been involved in, including at leadership level, a "doctrine of covering" was taught and accepted. And for many, many years, I never questioned this teaching.

Philippians 1:19-30 At some point in his ministry life, Paul the apostle is persecuted to the point of being killed for his faith. Paul the apostle contemplates about death and the purpose of life, yet he never lost hope. This is in response to 'Apostle' Edward Ssewanyana articles that 'Tithing is Not Optional' that appeared in the Daily Monitor on October 3rd, 2010 and The Observer on September 22, 2010. The 'Apostle' argues that Tithing is mandatory in essence since it is not optional.

Commentary on Act 8:1-4   
The Church today especially in the West enjoys enormous amounts of material prosperity that by 2000 alone, US Evangelicals had made 2.6 Trillion Dollars in income, unprecedented in Church History. [1] Therefore the virtue of enduring sufferings for Christ's sake has totally been neglected and replaced with teachings that promise total health and wealth for the believer while on earth.

In his defense and oral treatise, Stephen in the Book of Acts employs the term 'church' in his description of the children of Israel in the wilderness under the leadership of Moses. The children of Israel seemed not to have been aware of the 'separation' and 'coming out' that The Lord intended for  the  'church' in the wilderness and thus the longing for a return to Egypt.

If the Fear of God is not evident in the Church,then how do we expect the world to fear God? The Contemporary Church of our day has drastically lost the True Fear of The Lord that what we have is instead a fear of man. Yet the contrast was quite true and a reality in the early New Testament Church, The Fear of The Lord was present.

With profoundness, the first mention of the term 'Church' in the Book of Acts has to do with The Lord adding  members daily to the early Church. Again we notice the consistency with which The Lord takes ownership and care of His Church to add daily those who should be saved.

Interestingly, the second time Jesus Christ mentions the word 'Church' He used it in regards to Church Spiritual Discipline and Accountability. The Church was the place for believers to hold each other accountable and by keeping to the lifestyle and teachings of Jesus Christ.
